The instructions provided with the vinyl planks were very clear and easy to follow. Position the first plank from the starting wall using inch spacers. Install one row at a time clicking the ends together. Measure the distance between the wall and the surface of the last full plank.

During installation you can mix planks from different boxes to blend the dye lots patterns to create a more uniform appearance. Vinyl planks can be sorted into three main categories based on their installation method. The ends of the planks have little locking strips that snap into place and secure the planks. Install remaining full planks in the first row.

When using tongue and groove planks vinyl flooring installation should start in a lefthand corner with the tongue facing the wall. Measuring tape utility knife or vinyl cutter straight edge hand roller 75 to 100 lb. Gradually lower the plank down flat applying pressure inward and downward until the end joint closes insuring that the planks are perfectly aligned. Floor roller sharp shears for cutting around irregular objects and also a heat gun painters gun or hairdryer for reheating planks or replacing planks.

This is a floating floor that uses a tongue and groove locking system. Gripstrip click lock and glue down. At least 48 hours prior to installation place the new vinyl plank flooring in the room for acclimation. The last plank in the first row may need to be cut.
